Give Blood

It’s CRAZY how much blood you’ve got coursing through your veins right now. For real. As we speak, there’s about 5 litres of that stuff pumping from your head to your toes and into your big, beautiful heart.

Problem is that if you lose too much of it things can get pretty messed up real quick. And every minute there’s someone new who has to deal with that scary reality. They’re often victims of severe burns, people undergoing emergency surgery, or chemotherapy patients in desperate need of more red blood cells.

Good news is you can be a straight-up hero by giving some of yours. Here’s how it’s done.

In order to donate:

  • You must be 17 years old and in good health
  • You’ve got to weigh at least 50 kg (110 pounds)
  • You have to pass a fancy (but quick) medical test done at the donation location
  • Any of your sweet tats or piercings have to be at least 6 months old

So get out there and share some love. It’s one of the easiest ways to save a life, and on top of that you get hooked with free cookies. Awesome.
